Inductance: A contactless method of supplying power to (in this case) a strain gauge bridge. The signal is then transmitted back to the electronics. Slip Ring: Consists of a conductive band mounted on a shaft and is insulated from it. The wheatstone bridge is connected to the bands (usually four off).
